Access Statement
Access Statement for Stone Farm Rural Escapes:
Stone Farm Rural Escapes provides both tented accommodation in two luxurious Safari Lodges as well as holiday rental property.
Our safari lodges and holiday cottage are sat overlooking two man-made lakes, nestled in 100 acres of Worcestershire countryside, in the valley of the River Severn. Our lodges are no more than thirty metres from the lakes and have a gradual path leading up to a 2.60m by 5.30m main deck area. There are a maximum of four steps along with a handrail for guidance. The pathway leading up to the main decks as well as the steps light up automatically in the dark.
The main canvas door is three foot in width and opens into the living and kitchen area. The main bedroom and twin bunk bed bedroom are situated towards the end of the tent, behind the kitchen. In the main bedroom there is a three foot clearance between the bed and wooden bedroom divider, as well as access out onto the back deck. The bathroom is located inside the lodge with a flushing toilet and shower. There are no stairs within the lodges.
Each lodge has carbon monoxide detectors in the living area. There are fire extinguishers in easy reach of both the wood burners and a fire blanket in the kitchen area. In an emergency there is an exit through the back of the lodge as well as the front.
Smoking is not permitted within the lodges, on the wooden decks or inside the holiday barn. We have provided a sand bucket outside the back of the lodge and in the Lake View garden for the disposal of cigarette ends.
Both lodges and Lake View have a first aid box and contacts for all levels of medical intervention.
Holiday Barn
Our holiday barn, Lake View is situated on what was the original farm, in a small complex with four other barn conversions and the original farmhouse. It has its own open garage and space for car parking. The front door leads directly into an open plan kitchen and living area approximately 4.5m by 6m. The master en-suite bedroom, second bedroom and a second bathroom are located off the main living space. There are no stairs in Lake View, everything inside is on one level. There is a patio door with a step leading out to the garden.

Arrival
The driveway leading down to Stone Farm Rural Escapes is a gravel drive off the main road of Bozzards Bank. After travelling for approximately 400 metres you will come to a small pond with a turning to your right. Please be aware that there are speed bumps along this drive.
When you arrive we ask that you park your car on the left in front of the old barn. There will be someone there to meet you on arrival, help with your bags and show you to your lodges. For the rest of your stay we ask that you keep your car parked here and walk across the grass field to your lodge.
Check in is from 3pm but with prior arrangement it may be possible to arrive earlier. We do ask that you do not arrive later than 7pm as we need time to show you how everything in your lodge works. We also do not have exterior lighting from the car park to your lodge and there is a large lake you need to walk around. There is however lighting around the lodges that will come on when you are in close proximity.
For Lake View please continue all the way along the drive (be mindful of the speed bumps) until you enter into a small gravelled complex with other houses, continue driving around to the left of the houses and your garage will be at the end directly in front of you.
Dogs
We allow up to 2 dogs in each lodge and provide a bed, towel and bowls. We charge a £25 supplement for the second dog (one dog goes free!) with the exception of assistance dogs. Under each lodge is a bin for you to use and a hose to wash off any muddy paws before entering the lodge. Please keep dogs on a lead at all times particularly when out walking and around livestock.
Land
The lodges are nestled within 50 acres of planted woodland overlooking two man-made lakes. We ask that children are always accompanied when exploring around the lake. This area is all grassed and could be slippery in wet conditions. There are woodland trails and riverside walks, please keep to paths at all times and be aware that surfaces can be uneven.
