Terms and Conditions
Bookings
All bookings via our online booking system require full payment at the time of booking. This includes a refundable breakage deposit of 30% of the cost of your stay. Payment can be made by debit or credit card online at the time of your booking. We cannot accept card payments over the phone; alternatively, you can pay by bank transfer. The booking is taken on a provisional basis until full payment has been received.
If full payment for bookings via bank transfer are not received within 2 working days, Stone Farm Rural Escapes reserves the right to re-let the holiday property. Stone Farm Rural Escapes only accepts bookings from persons over 18 years of age. Stone Farm Rural Escapes reserves the right, at all times, without statement of reasons, to refuse or cancel a booking.
The prices displayed on the website are not binding; Stone Farm Rural Escapes reserves the right to modify these prices. The price stated on the booking confirmation is binding.
We offer the following stays; weekly stays (Friday- Friday), weekend stays (Friday-Monday) and midweek stays (Monday – Friday).
Lodge capacity
Each lodge can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and 6 people in total including all children and up to a maximum of two dogs. We regret that we can no longer accept large adult bookings.
Arrival & Departure
Please be sure to let us know of your intended arrival time and update us en-route. Your lodge may not be ready before 3pm so be sure to let us know if you are ahead of your estimated arrival time.
When you arrive we ask that you stick to the speed limit along the drive. Please keep in mind that our lodges do not have vehicular access. We shall meet you on arrival and help to unpack and move your luggage to your lodge.
Guests are asked to vacate their lodge by 10am prompt on the date of their departure.
Cancellation
Any cancellations made more than 8 weeks prior of your arrival date, we will endeavour to return any monies paid to you.
Any cancellations made 6 weeks or less prior to your arrival date, 75% of your full payment will be returned.
Any cancellations made 4 weeks or less prior to your arrival date, 50% of your full payment will be returned.
Any cancellations made 2 weeks or less prior to your arrival date then we regret that we will be unable to return any monies paid.
Please note that there will be a £50 administration fee applied for all cancellations.
In the event that we need to cancel your holiday we shall inform you as soon as possible and refund all monies paid to us, by you, within 14 days of notifying you.
Covid-19 – Special Cancellation Terms
If we enter another period of lockdown where Stone Farm Rural Escapes is forced to close we will;
- Offer to move your booking to a date that is convenient and will adjust the price if you extend of reduce your stay
- If there is not a mutually agreeable date available, we will refund your booking but will not charge a admin fee
- We cannot be held liable for other elements of your travel such as cancelled flights and we strongly recommend that you take out insurance to cover that eventuality
Due to Covid we are not accepting group bookings where multiple households are involved, unless they are family groups part of a support bubble. We reserve the right to refuse of cancel bookings where we believe this may be the case.
Visitors
Day visitors are welcome but please do inform us of their arrival in advance, we shall also require their contact details, should we, in the case of an emergency need to know who is on site.
Dogs
We are more than happy to welcome two dogs per lodge. We charge a supplement of £25 for the second dog only. We will also provide a bed, towels and bowls for your dogs during you stay. We do ask that you bring your own dog food with you!
Dogs must be kept under control and supervised at all times and we ask that you respect our neighbours and their dogs. We also ask that you follow the countryside code especially around livestock and wildlife.
Please make sure that any muddy paws are washed off before allowing your dog into the lodge and ensure that your dog stays off the furniture. Please clean up after your dog, bins are provided.
Noise
We want all our guests to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay with us. So as not to disturb the wildlife or guests, we do not allow any amplified music outside of the tents. We also ask you to be conscious of how much noise your party are making around the camp fires at night.
Noise is to be kept to a minimum between the hours of 10pm and 8am, in respect of our neighbours and other guests staying.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted at anytime within the lodge or on the decks. Please always put out any lit candles, lanterns or fires when not needed and please do not leave them unattended.
Land
The lodges are nestled within 50 acres of planted woodland overlooking two man-made lakes. We ask that children are always accompanied when exploring around the lake. This area is all grassed and could be slippery in wet conditions.
There are woodland trails and riverside walks, please keep to paths at all times and be aware that surfaces can be uneven
Responsibility
By booking and coming to Stone Farm Rural Escapes you agree to be responsible for your children and any children in your care, as well as your own safety and welfare. You are to take reasonable precautions against personal injury, injury to others and damage to your lodge.
All persons are responsible for their own safety when near, around and on the lake. Children must be supervised at all times near the lakes and are to wear a lifejacket when on the lake. Two life buoys are located at each end of the lake.
As we are in a rural and farming area, we ask that you keep your dog on a leash at all times around livestock, and when on walks please leave gates as you find them. Stone Farm Rural Escapes accepts no liability for theft, loss or damage to your property that may arise from your stay at Stone Farm Rural Escapes.
